Bangly Brae

With a train ticket to Drem from Edinburgh, I got off a stop early to enjoy the ride home a bit more. The route south east from Longniddry has been a favourite of mine for a while and this steep road up the side of Bangly Hill is a great little effort. As I got to the top, there were a few cyclists sat by the road and I said "Hello" but thought nothing of it. Then a motorbike went by slowly, then a car with "Caution Cycle Race" on the roof. Little boys by the road cheered and waved and I said "I'm not racing boys, I'm just going home." "Naw, but they are mister!" and suddenly a pack of wiry racing types shot by. I should really have taken a picture!

30 miles today. Lovely weather.
