Landing Craft

We drove out of Portsmouth towards the Surrey Hills today and I was sure that we would get behind a wide load on our journey but no. So back in Southsea we drove to the seafront and I took a shot of the Landing Craft which is part of the DDay Museum exhibits. It’s impressive in size for sure - and was designed to land tanks and their crew on Normandy D day landings. It’s first Commander was only 24 years old. Thanks AndrewNZ for challenge today.
