The surfer

I took a walk along to the beach a few miles out of Las Palmas, El Confital, which is not just the surfers haven but has a bit history to it. There are caves where the original canarians use to rub their sticks together, then the Canarian military located there in the Second World War to deter attacks from the allied forces. Onto the 60s and the military moved away and hippies moved in and turned it into a shanty town with no rules or government control. It wasn’t until the 2000s that the government declared it a heritage site , got rid of the hippies and have started to build roads for tourists to visit….the surfers don’t have long!
