If you can't beat them...

Winter Jasmin ( Jasminum nudiflorum )

A quiet day with my usual afternoon evening with Kanyl.  As usual on these occasions I wandered his garden taking shots of things we don't have.  I had noticed these at the garden centre yesterday and thought "those will do for tomorrow's blip if Kanyl's are in flower".  Thankfully they were.

Nudiflorum is native to China and unlike so many plants from china doesn't have chinensis in its name.  Nudiflorum as you might guess translates as naked flower, this is because the flowers appear before the leaves.  The name in Chinese means the flower that welcomes spring.
