A wet woodland in Wrottesley

A long drive to Wolverhampton today for the natural woodland burial of the wife of an elderly cousin. It really couldn’t have been wetter and muddier with many local roads worryingly flooded. But somehow it was all appropriate - she was a great Rambler, a doctor and a gardener - and the local pub afterwards was full of warmth, affection and good cheer.
