Redundant wiper

I like the way our vans are electric and we're doing our best to use virtually no plastic for packaging of all the various sky boxes, TVs & routers for customers but the van caught me out with it's pointless rear wiper.
Maybe it's one of those paints that lets the driver see out but you can't see in but no there is a solid wall behind the driver seat anyway.
