Front row!

A very wet day! Stopped in the evening thankfully. I went to Symphony Hall in Birmingham to see the new (well new to me anyway) conductor Kazuki Yamada conducting Beethoven’s violin concerto with a sublime young violinist Maria Duenas, and then the Enigma Variations. Beautiful music. The conductor has real personality - they always do! I like sitting on the front row so that I can see everything close up - slight neck ache at the end, but worth it!
