A place in time

Queueing for food

A bit like we were…

Mr A and I thought we’d go out for lunch for a change. A visit to a garden centre called…but when we got there, it was heaving inside with a couple of screaming kids plus a queue to get in. No thanks.

Next stop was a chain restaurant…but when we got there we were told they were short staffed and the chef was new to the job so they didn’t want to overwhelm him. We were welcome to wait for an hour to get a table (it wasn’t particularly busy). No thanks.

So that is why we came home again to enjoy lunch at home.

It looks like Specc and her chum preferred it at ours too, as they waited on the veranda.

Thought for the day:

”One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”

- Virginia Woolf
