Fair game

The local male pheasant is back in our garden today. Hundreds of millions of these non-native game birds are released each year for shooting. who knows what effect that has on native species! It’s not his fault, so I can’t bear a grudge. He’s welcome to scrat around for scraps under the feeders, looking handsome. A frosty start to the day today!
