Mutter. Komm. (Mother—Come)

A derelict museum at Amorbach, Nth.western Bavaria, Germany, once known for its quirky collection of art, including a vast collection of tea pots. We have visited many years ago, but now it’s permanently closed. The well preserved old-fashioned town was worth visiting though. Followed by an extension of the tour to Würzburg to allow our daughter to inspect her room in the time of study holidays. — The extras are from the autobahn (when I didn’t drive), evoking aggrieved thoughts about the dangers of driving under no speed limit, the high fuel consumption at too low prices (still under 2 € per litre by far don’t cover the real ecological costs), the dubious intentions of car driving (how many people would be on the road if a litre would cost 5 €?), and the visible damage done to the forests, as here in the Spessart hills (on the Hessian-Bavarian border). — So many insights we are wiping away daily (me included).
