Emergency Shell Blip

We spent the morning arranging the repair of the rim of a car wheel damaged when we hit a pothole hidden by a puddle before Christmas. The damage only just caused a problem yesterday.

I keep some sea-shells on a raised stone slab by my kitchen door.

The two big ones were left in my former shop by the previous tenants. I always meant to polish them up.

The scallop shells were bought over 30 years ago to decorate #2 Daughter for Mary, Mary Quite Contrary  (I couldn't get cockle shells the day before the competition.)

The whelk shells stood on The Late Mate's hearth so probably came from Lewis.
