Despite having slept or at least rested almost all of yesterday I still slept well all night and then, delightedly, woke and didn’t sneeze once! As the day unfolded I realised I felt better and no longer had the cold….thank goodness!
Up fairly early to meet T&J, up from Oxford to see the rugby. We had breakfast and did a lot of catching up on holidays, family, mountain walking, rugby etc. lovely to see them…they’re always so positive and upbeat it’s quite the tonic to spend time with them.
Left them to go and do some touristy things before the match and I drove over to A’s. Gorgeous day…bright sunshine and lots of spring flowers out now. We got stuck in to digging a new bed along the fences in the garden and cleaning the windows of the greenhouse. We started to examine the mould that’s invaded their shed and work out what to do about it…we’ll tackle it tomorrow!
After a sandwich late lunch we headed to the garden centre for a mooch around and got a few little plants for her window boxes and some seeds for sweet peas, then home for a cup of tea and a pastry.
I was fading a bit by then, so we watched a film (One Life) and had supper later, and chatted to Mt about next weekend’s arrangements before an early night
