Katoomba Then & Now

At our photo group, we each have to complete a local photo history project. One of the options is to pair images of locations as they look to day with how they USED to look.

I know some of you have done wonderful blips similar to this over the years. This is my first attempt.

Here is the main street of Katoomba looking south. Surprisingly, most of the 1947? buildings in this picture are still standing, although they have changed quite a bit. The Commonwealth Bank is still where it used to be and so is the heritage listed Paragon Cafe although the big sign out front was redesigned at some point.
