Braemar, Deeside, CairnOMount, Fettercairn,

Let’s tour the Highlands suggested  Pat.

A route was agreed and we headed to the Fife Arms Hotel for lunch at Braemar. Lunch is always good there. This was followed by visits to various galleries and shops.

Of course, a run up to the Linn of Dee was also required. See extra.

We then drove along Deeside, visiting Lochnagar Distillery. Balmoral entrance and Crathie Church. Thereafter Ballater and Aboyne before heading south via Cairn O Mount viewpoint, an extra of which records a rainstorm to the east. The North Sea in the distance.

We stopped at Fettercairn where I recorded the colourful window display of Encore. (The pink lips certainly caught my eye.)

Meanwhile Pat was pointing the historical of the town including the Queen Victoria Arch.

We then headed for home after completing 200 miles of Highland Roads.

I certainly enjoyed my whisky and red vermouth this evening,
