Stowe

Afternoon reflections in what is still known as the Octagon Lake in the Landscape Gardens at Stowe in Buckinghamshire - despite its once geometric shape having long ago been softened and 'naturalised'.

Today's 'Extras' feature two 'joint' Landmark Trust / National Trust properties: firstly, the one in which we are staying, in the Tower at Canons Ashby in Northamptonshire - showing the sunshine that briefly lit up the south west front of the building as we were setting off today (our flat includes the top two windows in the Tower); and secondly, the Gothic Temple in the Gardens at Stowe.
