taking a bird out

on the bus, to my puzzlement, eye noticed this pigeon being taken out a little every now and then, probably out of supposition that the wind in its beak will give it the feeling of flying...
why the whole trip? hard to say, although it is common to catch a stray dove for soup on occasion...
