Comfort food - Beef stew and herby dumplings.

A real write-off day with heavy rain blown in by strong winds since early this morning, and now - 12 hours later - it is still raining and the wind has increased further. So a day for indoor and domestic jobs including some batch cooking, so  several portions of the stew will be going into the freezer.
