Reflections

We were expecting a misty or foggy start to the day according to yesterdays forecast but instead there was a nice sunrise which we viewed from our room.    After purchasing coffee and sandwiches we left and headed out on the road to Elgol.  It was cold 2 to 3C at first but very calm and sunny.

The light was lovely as we drove and we stopped many times as we travelled through the Cuillin Hills.  Our first main stop was Sligachan with an old bridge and mountains around it.   Then we stopped by Loch Cill Chriosd to photograph reflections and also visited a nearby old abandoned 16C church.  Next stop was Loch Slapin with even more gorgeous reflections.  We spent some time here enjoying the peaceful picturesque scene.  A little further on we noticed a couple harvesting some of the seaweed washed up on the shoreline.   Sheep were also wandering around parts of the shore.  We eventually made it to Elgol with its wonderful views of the Cuillin across the water.  While we were there we watched a fishing boat returning with its cargo of lobster, crabs and langoustine.

It had been a full day and we were beginning to feel tired so decided to return back to our accommodation rather than stay out for a sunset.
