Figgate pond ripples reflecting

A dry morning, so put on appropriate layers of clothes and took the bike out. Cycled across the city to the Meadows, to the Innocent tunnel by Duddingston. Turned North and found Figgate Park. History Opened 1938, made from clay pits. Saw Canada geese and mallards, and some fine early cherry blossom.

To Portobello; mocha at Crumbs. Quite a few people out despite the cold. 2C. Tide out.

Have started another chapter of copy edit on a collection of nature notes my father put together and had published then as a weekly article in the local newspaper, 1971 - 1987.  OCR on typewritten script.
