Sing a song

The elderly care home , where mom is living, has 9O habitants. Some of them are younger people with dementia. This home care facility is specialised in care for people living with dementia. Music is an important ingredient in the daily care of the people living there. Either it will be listening to music, a choir who s coming or just singing together like we see on the photo. When there are activities , i always ( if i m there) participate together with mom. Mom and dad were ardent lovers of classical music and they did sing together when they were traveling.
In this sessioon , mom didn t know akll those songs , as there were more modern ones, but sang along when she knew them. She evn did perform the second voice on the well known South African song"Sarie Marijs" .In the photo , one of the habitants is visual performing the lyrics of the French song " Gaston y'a l'téléfon qui sonne" by Nino Ferrer.
