Natal Lily

A perfect morning for one of our regular visits to Holhird Gardens at Windermere. I very much enjoy visiting the greenhouse in the walled garden,

My blip shows today’s star exhibit. It is Clivia miniata. A woodland Lily from South Africa’s Eastern Cape. It is named after the Duchess of Northumberla Lady Charlotte Clive who was the first person to cultivate it in England.

My extras show three succulents from same  greenhouse. They are not mine but I wish they were !
