Scottish Thistle

This artwork of a Scottish thistle has recently appeared in Market Street, Edinburgh in front of there  office building just next to the City Art Gallery.
I notice it as I was meeting my friends at the gallery to view the new Landscape Artists Exhibition. It is a superb exhibition and it's stand out item was a hyper-realistic  monochrome image of a Scottish peat bog pool (doesn't sound very inspiring) We all thought initially it was a photograph but found out it was done with charcoal and similar media. Breath-taking! Sadly the exhibition is due to come down at the end of next week so hurry down there if you do not want to miss it.
