A Meandering Life...

MMC2024 :: Day 27 :: The Vale of Mowbray

Mono Month Challenge 2024

Just a typical country lane near Northallerton that is common of those across the Vale of Mowbray. Some confuse this vast area as being the Vale of York which lies to the south.

On the horizon you can be see the Yorkshire Dales, behind me are the North York Moors. To the right it continues up to the River Tees, to the left is just the south.

It is distinguishable to the Vale of York by its meandering rivers and undulating landscape. If ever you have travelled from London to Edinburgh by train you would have passed this very spot as the mainline crosses at the end of this lane near the village of East Cowton.

For this Blip I overlaid 2 of the same images but one had been passed through the app Inkwork. This gives a sketchy effect but I reduced it to just 10%.
