Walk along River Barle

We had coffee and lunch at the Copper Kettle in Dulverton - a welcoming old fashioned cafe straight out of Enid Blyton complete with a real fire .
Then, despite just having lunch we set off on our walk through Burridge Woods, along the River Barle to Marsh Bridge and back via Middle Path past Oldberry Hill Fort . It was easy to follow the paths in the woods . Hopefully, we shall return to see the bluebells later on in the Spring.
Naughtily, we completed the walk back at the Copper Kettle with a pot of tea and a cream scone !
The mist came down as we drove back over the moor but we spotted this red deer at Cloutsham Farm in the slopes of Dunkery .
