Lady Pilot!

Lunch with Birthday Sister and niece Fiona today.  On the way to the restaurant I noticed this mural and we stopped so I could blip it.  It portrays Winifred (Winnie) Drinkwater born in Cardonald, Glasgow, and who was the first woman in the world to hold a commercial pilot's licence  -  she was also one of the first female aero-nautical engineers. The mural is by artist Dan McD from Spraywell Murals -  learn more HERE!  I wanted to add a Vapour Trail to the amazing blue sky but resisted the temptation so as to retain the authenticity of my blip☻☻
