Afternoon walk

Had a bit of a lie in this morning and breakfast before dog walk.  Caught up with a few household tasks.

At 1.30 my friend Giovanna picked me up for an afternoon at the National Trust's Anglesey Abbey.  Giovanna had never been even though she has lived in Cambridge all her life.  She's the friend who had to rehome her dog as she discovered her breathing difficulties were due to being allergic to dogs. 

We had a very pleasant walk round the winter garden and grounds.  Then of course to the cafe for a beverage and cake.  My chocolate and beetroot cake was delicious. 

I believe we'll do this again.  Giovanna misses the exercise benefits of walking a dog

Back home walked the hound round the block.  Apparently he cried when he found I wasn't at home this afternoon.  It was pleasant to walk in daylight at 5pm.

Now relaxing after three walks today.  Should sleep well tonight.
