Geneva

A trip into Geneva today. We parked the car quite a way out on the south side of the lake and walked back along the front. The weather hasn't been as good but was much better than forecast.

We stopped at Jet d'eau and walked out towards its base, I went a bit further and got a bit wet! Such power there. Then Jardin Anglais and the floral clock followed by the Cathedral (pictured). We climbed the 150 steps, first to the top of the south tower, then down a bit and under the spire, crossing to the north tower where we climbed back up on to the outside for a lovely panoramic view of the city.

A light lunch and then we continued our walk up the north shore before getting the water taxi back to the car park. It was still early so we decided to explore the south shore of the lake and discovered the lovely medieval village of Yvoire.

The drive back through Geneva in the rush hour was a bit hard work though!
