From my window

A misty start to the day with a watery sun which didn’t last. Grey clouds and drizzle for most of the day so I caught up with some housework. Amazed to see the starlings fly over my house tonight and perform their murmurations over the fields. They are usually at the other end of the village and I’ve never seen them over my house before. Perhaps this change of direction means that they are preparing to leave. They have been performing every evening for well over a month and people come from the surrounding areas to see them.
