Raven

………… or at least I think this is the Raven that I heard.
I was out in the garden looking for a blip when I heard a strange bird call - like a mix between a toad and a warthog, it was quite deep and rasping and one I’ve not heard before. So I got out the Merlin App in the hope that it would tell me. Imagine my amazement when it said it was a Raven. This huge bird was sitting in a nearby tree in the direction that the call came from and it was on its own but I didn’t actually see it make the call.
I later searched for the Raven call online and definitely identified it as the one I heard………. I will certainly keep my eyes peeled for a better shot of it when I’m out and about ;-)
