A summer's day

Some days ago I woke up with a bad eye and now it has recovered having experienced a new to me NHS system. The GP's surgery wouldn't give me an appointment but told me to phone one of the opticians in town for an ACES appointment (Acute Community Eyecare Service). They will examine the bad eye within 24 hours, a couple of hours in my case. It was examined with a microscope and a diagnosis made, antibiotic drops given in exchange for my telephone number so that Yeovil Hospital could contact me. Sure enough yesterday the hospital was in touch and this morning I attended their eye clinic for a check up by a specialist. Everything was fine, the drops had done the trick!

Walked the dog across the farm in the afternoon. A roe deer jumped out of this hedge just in front of us but of course at the time the camera was not at the ready!
