Between fen and mountains

Proper snow at last

For the first time this winter, Canigou looks like it should in winter. I don't expect the snow will last that long at this time of the year. Some of it has already blown away in the wind. The snow arrived on Monday and my 78 year-old neighbour set off for the ski resorts this morning, having already walked with us 10 kilometres up a mountain yesterday. Mind you, she did walk the whole of the Pyrenean chain on the high route in her 60s so she is very fit. I made bread first thing .We were supposed to play doubles this afternoon but one of the ladies thought it was tomorrow and did not turn up so just three of us practised. Nonetheless, it was lovely to be out in the sunshine in perfect conditions.
