A Fisherman's Life

Sidmouth trawlers fish shop in Sidmouth (East Devon) occupies the sheds once used by local fishermen to store their equipment  Today's blip shows a section of the outside wall which provides a clue as to what lies within! The trawlers which could once be see being hauled up across the shingle beach here have now gone. One of them was operated by the father of one of my school friends who now lives in Finland. He had a younger brother who went to live in Norway. They were a fishing family who fell on hard times and were forced to find a livelihood elsewhere.
