Joe Tree Day 2024

A tree photo is appropriate today as it is Joe Tree Day 2024.  Joe is the founder member of Blipfoto which he established in the summer of 2004 and eventually went online in 2006.  Since then countless Blippers have posted their photos, written their comments and in return have received replies, stars and hearts. It is such a lovely experience.

We are the beneficiaries of Joe’s original idea and from its outset to this day Blipfoto gives many people a great deal of pleasure blipping once a day just as Joe intended it should be.

Very grateful thanks, too, are due to those who picked up where Joe left off and have steadied Blip’s course and ensured that his legacy lives on!  Many thanks too to Cailleach for ensuring that Joe’s creation is celebrated annually.

It was a glorious morning for a walk round Duthie Park in Aberdeen, this is a photo of the canopy of my favourite tree there.
