Logset Forwarder

Had a little trip through Dumfries House Estate tonight with Mrs F and we stopped to see what was going on just north of the river.

They are in the process of removing all the Spruce, Willow and Poplar trees so that they can create a 10 acre Arboretum between the Avenue Bridge and the Walled Garden.  It should provide a nice place to go walking once they have finished it.

At the side of the road was this all terrain Logset Forwarder used to move the cut timber away from the site.  Quite an impressive looking machine.  We were however a little concerned that the fire was burning but no sign of anyone about.
