Busy day . . .

Out early for coffee and chat with the Saturday 'gang'.
Then a call from friend Sue about one of the swimming group who is in Exeter Hospital.  Could we go and visit?  So a quick visit to M&S for some treats before heading off to leave my car and we headed off.  We stopped off in a new to us Garden Centre for coffee and a snack. Sue found this fetching felted hat and knowing I'd not have time for any photography, I quickly snapped her trying it on! 

Friend in hospital is sadly in the early stages of heart failure; she was so excited to see us and we enjoyed a couple of hours with her until we could see she was getting tired so we left. 
Her daughter, K, is hoping to get her back to her flat with carers; the daughter is amazing and spends hours with her mum in the hospital and will do the same when she goes back to her flat. 
One of those days when one is sad but uplifted as well, watching a child's care for her mother. So much love and affection in that room today.
