Droplets

Early morning I saw a photograph posted by a friend of mine, on Facebook, of his front garden and car. everything was covered in snow. He lives in Cinderford, Forest of Dean, near where our daughter Johanna lives. Soon afterwards Johanna also posted a similar photograph.
Down here, in the Vale of Gloucester, we had some snow but very little and it was already melting.
The droplets, on the spars of the naked awning, naked because I'd removed the tarpaulin when it was ripped and shredded by the recent consecutive storms, were from the melting snow.
We always get away lightly compared to the surrounding hills. On one side we have the beginning of the Cotswolds and on the other side, across the River Severn, we have the Forest of Dean. If there's going to be snow, they get it!
