Winter Heath

I only walk round my local area when I have a dog to walk and today was one of those days. Keta arrived this afternoon and fortunately the weather was fine and dry while we walked and I had a good look over the lowest garden wall.

Plenty of daffodils and crocuses but I opted for this clump of Winter Heath with its urn-shaped flowers. Which appear in late winter and early spring.
