Haemanthus coccineus.....

....known as Blood lily or Paintbrush lily, a member of the Amaryllis family, native to South Africa. A treasure from my neighbour's garden, first time it's flowered, she's delighted! And so was I :) 

Warm and very gusty today, washing was dry within 10 mins, they say it's autumn, felt more like summer, 25C
