The Listener

We have two Elkhorn Ferns (Platycerium bifurcatum) in our garden. They are intriguing plants with two kinds of leaves, described in this webpage from the Australian National Botanic Garden in Canberra as 'nest leaves' and 'fertile fronds'. The rounded green leaf in my photo, which to me looks something like a human ear, is a 'nest leaf'. There is so much to learn in the garden!

I see that in my Blip of 17 January this year I have described the two kinds of leaves as 'flat' and 'dangly'.
