A Matthew A Day

Happy fans

Rachel very kindly invited me to join her to watch the football. She's had a subscription for two club-level tickets for every Arsenal Women's match ar the Emirates, and this was the last of them, a sell out match against Spurs. Arsenal were the better team throughout, but though they had lots of chances they didn't get one over the line until early in the second half. They held on a goal up until the end though, despite an increasingly desperate Tottenham squad. 1-0 well deserved win.

We found a fish and chip shop for a late lunch on the way back to Finsbury Park, and I made it home by tea-time despite the hazards of rail replacement buses. Only the thought of how useful Cambridge South Station will be makes up for so much disrupted travel. All the more time to catch up and put the world to rights though.

A grand day out.
