Phonics

I attended a phonics talk at school this evening. The idea behind the meeting was to help parents and carers understand how phonics is now being taught in class.

Apparently, 18 months ago, the government decided that all schools had to choose one of a number of phonics schemes available and that the scheme had to be adhered to.
After much research, George’s school chose ‘Little Wandle’ and it seems to be working, as the speed he is learning to read is incredible.
