Folk Night

Each month the Blackheath Folk Group presents a night of music and poetry in the pub over our back fence. All performers are local and the standard is surprisingly good - an entertaining night was had by all.
The main blip is of an expat Irishman performing a Henry Lawson poem put to music.
The main reason for our attendance was to see the bush poet Greg North - in the extra he is performing The Man from Snowy River in about 20 different accents each in the appropriate hat. We’ve seen him before and he’s brilliant!!
Banjo Paterson has always been isbi’s first love, I can only ever hope to come in a distant second.
