It's 'orrible out said the oystercatcher....

Lots of wind and that very fine rain that makes you very wet.... a quick drive around after work in which I didn't think I'd see much but I did!

This oystercatcher, a common sandpiper, curlews...then a dilemma....

I was driving along my fav road on the tops and suddenly saw 2 curlews in the middle of the road.... hmm.... I stopped and then saw they were 'shouting' at their chick who was happily checking out the insects near the side of the road. Impossible to drive on, reverse was where the chick was so I waited.

They then decided my car wasn't a good thing and hovered above, which at least let me drive on! Hope the chick found safety.....
