It was a Guildford day for bowling today. The bowling alley is at the Spectrum Centre along with an ice rink and swimming pools and an adjoining athletics track. As I walked into the Spectrum it was rather disconcerting to see a Christmas tree. It certainly wasn't there last month when we bowled at Guildford. On closer inspection it was adorned with Easter eggs. It turned out to be a fundraising Easter egg appeal on behalf of the local Salvation Army group. Easter egg donations are requested for the Salvation Army to then pass on to children who would not otherwise receive any. So, a good cause even though the Christmas/Easter mash-up was a bit of a puzzle. Couldn't they have found an Easter Bunny to hang the Eggs on?
