What is Scottish?

One of mum's colleagues was giving their inaugural professorial lecture this evening. He was talking about Scottishness, the Scottish diaspora and the politics of Scotland. It was great! I was worried that it would be boring but it was funny and interesting. Can't say the same for the seats though, they were not great at all.
