AnnieB Recovering

There must be some smart blip name for an I'll-take-your-photo-if-you-take-mine event. I nipped across to see AnnieB this afternoon.

As some of you will know, Annie is a fellow blipper who suffered a stroke 6 weeks ago. One of those life changing events. From her hospital bed she has continued to blip and, as recorded on her T-Shirt, achieved a significant milestone while there. And there was a blip birthday party for her to mark the occasion.

Annie is one of many who through positive comments and inspirational blips make this place special. She is one of many to whom I am grateful.

We had promised a blipmeet but hadn't got round to it so I suppose this was it. We had a good chat and were joined by her old boss Jim. Both of us brought in some wine for her so Ward 11 might be having a party tonight!

Her main task now is learning to walk again. There must be many other things to be relearned. She reported John is coping well with his domestic duties. He decided he didn''t need the exercise demanded by Annie's push mower and bought an electric one!

Annie also said in a very understated way, 'it is hard sometimes'. She'll get there.
