Votes for Women?

At the time of these dresses the idea of votes for women seemed to many men to be quite unnatural. The tactics some women (suffragettes photo on wall at the back) used in their efforts to obtain the vote verged, and in some cases crossed over into terrorism. Was it worth the effort. It may seem questionable sometimes.

In honour of International Woman's Day, I ventured into the "women's empowerment” section of the art gallery. After having had a coffee of course.
