I waited in for five and a half hours for a Virgin Media technician. One did finally arrive to tell me that Virgin had auto 'upgraded' the software in customers' TIVO boxes which turned out to have a bug, wiping out TV connection and making the box useless. My technician worked fast to install and set up a new box; that took 50 minutes. Technicians are given a maximum of 40 mins per job and there are thousands of these spoiled boxes around.

None of which has anything to do with my lovely hyacinth.
