Loch Fyne

A wet day along Loch Fyne. I was at a meeting in the Council Offices in Kilmory this morning about the continuing difficulties surrounding the Tinkers Heart which needs much improvement and care and which deserves to be recognised as the uniquely important national treasure that it is.

Jess Smith , who has campaigned so passionately for the Heart, reminded me of her ancestral connection to the shores of Loch Fyne and of her grandmother's birth hereabouts , with her great grandmother on her own delivering her child, blessing it in a stream and walking on - with child at breast - to Strachur.

That day might have been fine but more often than not in this place the mist is down on the hill and there is a persistent rain in the air as there was today.
