Dawn’s service

It was Dawn’s funeral and celebration of life service today. Quite a good number of us were able to attend. Liz, Dawn’s mum, requested that we wore our changing robes (and suggested that perhaps we’d be able to swim at BA after). What we weren’t expecting was that she had also planned for us to be a ‘guard of honour’ and to line either side of the entrance while Dawn’s coffin and family members entered the little chapel.
The service was lovely with heart felt, honest stories and poems. It was a true testament of her life.
The ‘tea’ was at BA village hall. Tea on the Green did the catering. It was crammed!
After a couple hours those of us that could went swimming. There was ice over the rocks! That’s me swimming in the top photo. It was a very beautiful day.
The fire at night was very much appreciated!
